DONTCHA LUV STYLIN (Abe)  2009 SORREL OVERO COLT    2-16-09  Dontcha Luv Magic x Phenomenallyvolumenus

This is "Phoebe's" first foal and he's a dandy! This little guy is already a showman and has a "look at me" personality. I have no doubt that he is going to do well in the fall futurities and may be a suitable replacement for his sire. He is straight all around and show lot's of room to bloom.

NEWS FLASH

Just got home from the Tulsa State Fair. I had a great day with my colts and just wanted to share the news! I also wanted to say thanks to Rod Cavender for doing such a great job getting my horses shown.

"Hot Man" was a long time coming but well worth the wait. Even though he hasn't got a spot, he's the biggerst thing I've seen in a while. He's about 9hrs old in these photos but he's as big as the colt born in Feb. I'm kind of sad that I already sold his dam becase the new owner will probably get a spotted foal from this cross next year. At least that's been my luck. He's going to make a wonderful gelding for the fall futurities and I look for him to be in the top of his classes.

Tulsa State Fair Results:

*Big Boy Futurity - 1st place

*Breeding Stock Late Weanling (fair class) - 1st place.

This colt is had not been worked due to being a little over in the knees for a while. He was taught to lead (without trying to run off) until 2 weeks ago, and learned to square up in 3 sessions last week. He's a little wolfy but carries on the tradition of winners I knew could be produce from my stallion and mares. Looking forward to next years foal crop.

Owned by Dr. Debra Burris of Buckthorn Farms in the state of Arkansas. Debra is very excited about the chance to show this nice fily at halter in the fall futurities here in Oklahoma. She has some nice young horses for sale that are well started undersaddle and some that are broke to drive. So if your in the market for a good sporthorse or dressage mount give her a look at www.buckthornfarms.com.
